The Kindergarten Picnic

The annual Kindergarten picnic was a huge success!
The children had such a wonderful time spending it with their loved ones!

And we even got a visit from Miss Julia, our Masco Senior Intern!  Good Luck, Miss Julia as you head off to college!  We know you will do great things!

Field Day Fun

On Thursday, it was field day!  Lots of fun and games were had!
Here are some pictures to capture the moments!
There were 5 stations for field day.  The first station we got to go to was the sponge race.  The second was snack station and we got to enjoy the snow cones.  Next we went to the obstacle course.  Off to Tug O War! Finally, we we went to Musical Beach Towels!
We decided to vote for our favorite;
Tug O War was the favorite of the group with 10 votes!
Next the obstacle course was second with 4 votes!
Last was snack station with 1 vote!

Thank you to all of the parents for your time and help!  It was a blast!

Kindergarten Serenade

Hip Hip Hooray!!
The kids did an amazing job!  Thank you for coming to watch the Kindergarten students perform in their Serenade.  The students looked amazing in their red, white, and blue!  They sang their hearts out and did a spectacular job!  I couldn't have been any prouder of them!  A special thanks to our amazing music teacher, Mrs. Alvarado, and a huge shout out to Mrs. Mulligan's second grade class.

We hope that you enjoyed the show!!!

Comment back so the kids can hear what you think! :)

D.A.R.E.

On Friday, Officer MacParland, a Middleton Police Officer and the D.A.R.E. Officer, came to class to talk about safety.
Officer MacParland began with discussing safety signs that we see everyday on our streets.
He then talked to the children about how to be safe on the streets.
Next, he talked to the children about personal safety and stranger danger.
Officer MacParland ended our time together with sharing information about his uniform and all of his safety gear.  Most importantly, Officer MacParland expressed to the children how much all police officers are friends to the children!

Thank you, Officer MacParland, for taking the time to teach the children about safety!  We learned so much!

Weather Scavenger Hunt

Last Friday, the kindergarten went on a Weather Scavenger Hunt with our wonderful first grade buddies in Miss Klipfel's class.  We spent time in our beautiful courtyard.

The first grade children were given
a iPad and the kindergarten students got the paper and a clipboard.

Together they followed the checklist hunting for the clues.

The pictures are just a few of the amazing pictures the students took with the iPads.

Can you find something that crawls on four legs?  Do you see the turtle?

The students had a super fun time hunting and using all of their investigative skills to find everything!
Fun time had by all!

The Surprise!

Teacher Appreciation Week!
Thank you to the MPTO for the awesome door decoration!  It was an awesome surprise to come to school with such a heartfelt and loving decoration as I entered my classroom.
Thank you to all of the parents and my students who worked so hard on this beautiful and creative door decoration!
I have been so blessed to teach Kindergarten for 19 years in the same classroom!  It is with all of the support and love for the community, both Middleton and Fuller Meadow, that has made all of my years teaching so amazing!
Thank you so much!
